Heid Mind
Integrative Therapy, Counselling, & Hypnotherapy
Welcome to Heid Mind!
I’m Katie, an Integrative Therapist working as a Therapeutic Counsellor and Hypnotherapist online and from my therapy space in Herne Bay, Kent.
I specialise in neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia), trauma and anxiety, GSRD, alternative lifestyles and relationship structures, and attachment.
My integrative therapist label basically means I integrate the different modalities I’ve studied to create a therapist toolbox of techniques and theories to draw on the right ones at the right times.
These include person centred, gestalt, psychosynthesis, transpersonal, polyvagal, and attachment focused.
MSc (Psychology), MBACP, Dip Hyp, GHR, RYT
Therapeutic Counselling
As a neurodivergent counsellor, I’m aware I think differently and this brings a uniqueness to my therapy. It also means I see, welcome, and validate other ways of thinking and processing and am used to adapting my processes.
I work with a range of different issues including anxiety, relationships and attachment, trauma, depression, careers, and body image. I welcome people who haven’t quite found a therapy that works for them just yet and who want to embrace a creative approach.
I believe in creating a therapy space where you feel safe to be yourself and can go at your own pace. No expectations, no judgements, just room to be heard and space to explore your mind and feelings.
Hypnotherapy
With over three years post training experience in Hypnotherapy, I work in a confident and relaxed way with anxiety, phobias, trauma, habits, limiting beliefs, relationships and attachment, depression, eating disorders, business, career and body image.
I see hypnotherapy as a way of working with deep emotional or scary issues in a protective, relaxed bubble. Sometimes we all have issues we try and avoid, even if we’ve been in talking therapy for years! Hypnosis gives us a safety blanket which makes it easier to go to those harder places. Together we can make powerful changes in a gentle way.
Ancestor Patterns Exploration
Sometimes in therapy (and in life) we recognise our beliefs and patterns can have roots deeper than our own lifetime. Our parents teach us from what they learnt, but they also interact with us in ways which reflect the way their caregivers interacted with them.
By working with and understanding the past, we can free the energy and emotions of the present and move past feelings of feeling stuck or blocked.
